Veggie Grilled Cheese

INGREDIENTS

2 Black Bean Veggie Burgers 4 slices of white bread 1 and ⅓ cup gruyere cheese (shredded) 4-5 tbsp of softened butter

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat your oven to 400 f and line a baking sheet.
  • Place 2 Black Bean Veggie Burgers (thawed) on the baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, if cooking from frozen add an additional 3 minutes.
  • While the burgers are baking, spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place the butter side down and sprinkle the 4 slices of bread with cheese.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Add the 4 slices of bread to the pan, butter side down. Cook until the bread looks golden and crisp. The cheese should be melting, cover with a lid to help the cheese melt faster.
  • Once the burgers are ready place on top of the bread.
  • Top the burger with the other slice of bread and continue to cook until the cheese has completely melted.
